Accounting Associate

The Accounting Associate works within Finance department to meet department standards and goals, adhere to company policy and provide accurate and timely information.  We are looking for a team member who has a high standard of work, is adept at both internal and external communication and relationships and is excited to work collaboratively within our growing tech company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 80%

    Accounting

    Performs accounting tasks including:

    • Preparing accounting entries, financial reports, and assessing accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards
    • Preparing monthly reconciliations
    • Preparing variance analysis of accounts
    • Recording AP, AR, and cash receipts accurately and according to policy
    • Following up on aged accounts receivable and reporting progress
    • Drafting and reviewing contracts
    • Maintaining and communicating records of work progress

    HR

    Performs HR tasks including:

    • Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures 
    • Prepares job postings
    • Assists with HR projects
    • Assists with benefits administration

    Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Competencies: 

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
  • Attention to detail and understanding of accounting
  • Strong computer skills, specifically with Excel and Quickbooks
  • High level communication skills and ability to work with others
  • Discretion and confidentiality

 Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent and/or at least two years of previous experience in accounting.
