Clinical Account Director

Position: Clinical Account Director (Sales Executive)

Territory: National

Reports to: VP of Sales

Objectives: This position is a sales role with direct responsibility for increasing sales in new and existing accounts selling diagnostic software that enables better patient outcomes to healthcare clients (hospitals, urgent care, retail healthcare, government) nationally.

Measurable Results

Prospecting: Consistently find new opportunities with new and existing healthcare customers (hospitals, urgent care, retail healthcare, government).

  • Developing a qualified pipeline and tracking all sales data and customer information in the company sponsored CRM.
  • Working with the correct decision makers (CMIO, COO, Librarians and Quality), where there is a business problem to solve and there is an implication to not solving the problem.

Qualification: Ensure all pipeline opportunities meet minimal qualifications.


  • Qualifications are assessing need, timing, budget, capabilities match and implementation schedule.

Presenting: Effectively present a business driven proposal as needed to convince the business level, user level and financial level decision makers why this solutions should be purchased now and not from your competitors.

  • Present the business case that aligns to customer needs as defined during the qualification phase. 
  • Describe the solution in alignment to business and technical needs.
  • Align scope, schedule and cost.
  • Effectively position unique qualifications and corporate overview.
  • Provides accurate product information to the medical community.

Close sales timely in enough volume to meet annual business objectives.

  • Winning sales to meet and exceed sales objectives. 

Position Qualifications

  • Education and Experience:  Bachelor’s degree in business or scientific discipline.  Medical or Healthcare preferred.  3-years of solution focused, relationship building or sales experience in the healthcare industry.

    Required Skills & Behaviors:

    Ability to influence others in relation to product knowledge, product benefits and customer needs and service.

    Ability to adapt communication and/or selling style to suit audiences’ needs.

    Ability to learn, comprehend and translate complex medical information and technology.

    Ability to develop strong, customer-focused relationships with appropriate members of the medical community.

    Valid driver’s license.
