Lead Generation Specialist

Summary: The Lead Generation Specialist is an integral part of the sales team. The LGS uses a variety of tactics including emailing and calling to reach U.S. healthcare organizations and facilities in order to better understand their health care information technology needs and initiatives. Our key targets include large hospital systems, academic medical centers, hospitals, urgent care companies,etc. Working with sales and marketing management, the LGS identifies who the most appropriate decision maker is in the target company and schedules a conversation with the decision maker and the appropriate sales representative to introduce and demonstrate VisualDx. During the initial conversation, the LGS will handle objections and gather sales intelligence on the hospital system/hospital, their clinicians and other technology they license including Electronic Medical Records (EMR) utilized at the point of care. After establishing a sales-ready lead, the LGS will schedule a follow up meeting with the appropriate sales representative, who will handle the sale from there.

 This role may also call for support with VisualDx product demonstrations upon request and attendance at sales conventions and meetings upon request.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contact US hospital systems, hospitals, academic centers, public health departments, and other VisualDx account opportunities as directed by VP, Sales
  • Identify the most appropriate decision makers, initiate a conversation about VisualDx, answer questions/ handle objections about VisualDx and set up follow up meetings for the appropriate sales representative
  • Supplement account research as needed to increase effectiveness in qualifying sales leads
  • Enter leads into salesforce.com as directed by VP, Sales
  • Prepare a weekly summary of activity as directed by VP, Sales
  • Participate in sales meetings as requested
  • Assist with VisualDx product demonstrations as requested by VP, Sales or the appropriate sales representative Attend conventions and other meetings as requested

Position Qualifications

Education and Experience:  Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or scientific discipline.  Medical or Healthcare preferred.  Relevant experience & the strong desire to be a self-directed learner.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum education:  Bachelor's degree in written or scientific discipline.  Medical, Healthcare, or Information Technology preferred. Three years of solution-focused, relationship building or sales experience in healthcare industry.

May be subject to irregular hours including some weekend and evening tradeshows or travel.  Frequently subjected to pressure due to time demands.
