NHS Invests in Digital Innovation with Sponsored License of VisualDx

With a commitment to innovation, digital transformation, and improving patient care, six CCGs across south east London have purchased one year licenses of VisualDX.  The agreement launches VisualDx’s first foothold into the UK’s National Health Service.

VisualDx is the award-winning healthcare software company dedicated to improving medical decisions. Its products, which incorporate medical images and information, are designed to guide clinicians and patients to review, understand, and treat potential diseases and diagnoses. This patient-centric model aligns with the NHS’s commitment to sustainability and transformation. The agreement puts a focus on enhancing diagnostic accuracy, aiding therapeutic decisions, and improving patient safety at the point of care.

“We believe that quality care begins with an accurate diagnosis,” said Art Papier, MD, CEO of VisualDx. “This agreement with NHS CCGs in south east London helps patients and clinicians alike to share in the decision-making process to optimize patient-centered outcomes in the pursuit of clinical excellence. We are excited to collaborate in this important effort.”

Dr. Noel Baxter, Clinical Director for Quality and Service Improvement, NHS Southwark CCG, said: “This agreement with VisualDX further strengthens the support available to general practice in south east London. We want our patients to receive the right care, in the right setting, first time and we believe this tool will support General Practitioners (GP) in their decision making.”

The one-year license covers all GP practices in the following CCGs: Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham, and Southwark. The tool, available on computer, smartphone, or tablet, provides specialty-level knowledge for GPs to help solve complex patient presentations, review variations of disease, and improve diagnostic accuracy at the point of care. The tool can be used to enter signs and symptoms to review diagnostic possibilities, look up specific conditions to access therapy guidelines and best tests, search for medication reactions and travel-related and infectious diseases, and provide patient information. Moreover, it allows users to tap in to the software’s curated medical image library.

VisualDx is currently used in more than 1,700 hospitals, large clinics, and medical schools worldwide. It is available for yearly subscription. For more information, visit www.visualdx.com.
