VisualDx Expands into Japanese Market

ROCHESTER, NY (July 19, 2019)

The world’s leading diagnostic decision support system is expanding its reach into the Japanese market. Clinicians can now search the VisualDx software in Japanese. This translation expansion joins other several available languages, including English, French, German, Chinese Mandarin, European Spanish, Latin American Spanish, and Portuguese.

With VisualDx, healthcare professionals can build a patient-specific differential diagnosis by entering a key finding across general medicine. They can also use the search function to access clinical information as well as the world’s best medical image library.

“Our customers have asked and we have listened. It’s exciting that clinicians and students will be able to search and view diagnostic results in their native language. We look forward to providing better patient care around the world by improving diagnostic accuracy and enhancing clinical efficiency,” said Art Papier, MD, CEO, VisualDx.

Users will be able to select their language upon logging onto the web-based application as well as the native iOS and Android apps. Another added feature is the selection of the home region to localize the results of any search.

VisualDx is a  diagnostic clinical decision support system that has become the standard medical professional resource at more than 2,300 hospitals, clinics, and medical schools worldwide. Key clients include Harvard, Mayo Clinic, Stanford, and the NHS (England).

A new add-on feature of VisualDx is called DermExpert©, which using machine learning to properly classify lesion morphology. It works right on the clinician’s smartphone where the clinician can take a picture of their patient’s skin lesion or rash. The machine learning module will analyze the image and identify the morphology. The clinician can confirm the computer’s results and then enter more findings to quickly get to a differential diagnosis. This technology is critical for non-dermatologists to better diagnose and treat skin conditions.

VisualDx and its add-on feature DermExpert© are both available as yearly subscriptions.
