Chief Derm Resident Uses VisualDx for Patient’s Swollen Face, Cheek Acne

Dustin M., a chief dermatology resident, pulled up VisualDx to quickly figure out why his patient’s face was swollen and had new “acne”.

“Young healthy female with swelling and erythema of mid face with new onset acneiform popular pustular eruption bilateral cheeks.  Using VisualDx quickly searched for clinical findings with pt demographics and discovered rosacea fulminans as identified in the ddx.  Pt was worked up and treated using recommended therapy and improved as expected.”
