Contact Wearer Turns to Pharmacy for Help With Swollen Eyes, VisualDx Guides Student to Diagnosis

Matthew B., a student at the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy used VisualDx to help a patient with swollen, watery eyes.

“Two weeks ago, a patient complained of swollen and watery eyes. They mentioned that they wear contacts. They realized that they had not washed their hands the last time they took them out. When they woke up in the morning, they realized these symptoms that they presented with to the pharmacy. We compared the symptoms and images of pink eye with the images on VisualDx. We referred the patient to their primary care provider. Thank you VisualDx!”
