Patient's Itchy Toes, VisualDx Lead Pharmacy Student to Correct Diagnosis

tinea76027.jpgMatthew B., a student at the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy used VisualDx to help a patient who was complaining that his toes were itchy.

"A patient was complaining of itchy toes at the pharmacy last week. I asked several questions of the patient to help determine the cause of the itch. They mentioned that they've been wearing gym socks for a long time in the last month since basketball started. From this information, we recommended a medication for the patient's athlete's foot. With the help of VisualDx, we were able to compare images of the disease with the patient's foot. Thank you VisualDx!"
