Patient Thinks She Has Ringworm; Doctor Uses VisualDx to Prove Otherwise

Mathew D., Family Medicine DO & Faculty at Residency at University of Rochester, shares his story about how VisualDx helped him diagnose a patient.

“Patient with SLE, prior CVACKD, with a recent rash that she thought was ringworm on her right antecubital fossa. This was erythematous and pruritic. She had no other lesions elsewhere. Picture was taken and scanned into her chart; VisualDx was used with all of those identifiers with an immediate hit of lichen simplex chronicus that looked identical to her presentation and sx. Mild corticosteroids were used and follow up scheduled. Thanks to VisualDx for your help with this!”
