Pregnant Woman with Right Leg Numbness – Can You Diagnose?

A 30-year-old pregnant woman went to the doctor after experiencing right thigh numbness while lying down, standing, and walking. She noticed this numbness over the course of a month. She told the doctor that once while standing to prepare dinner, the burning skin sensation was so convincing that she thought the oven was turned on next to her when it wasn’t. She didn’t have any recent injuries to her back or leg, but did report some minor leg pain on the same side. She didn’t have weakness in the leg or trouble walking. Sitting usually decreased or relieved the symptoms.
