Toddler’s Forehead Growth Diagnosed after VisualDx Review

Dustin M., a chief dermatology resident, used VisualDx to diagnose a toddler and administer an appropriate therapy.

“13 month old male presented with cherry red growth on the forehead x 5months.  The area was non-tender and asymptomatic otherwise.  After review of VisualDx the diagnosis of hemangioma was made and per recommendations of VisualDx, prescription for oral propranolol was started as the first line therapy vs active monitoring.”

*Hemangioma pictured here is not patient in story. See more pictures of infantile hemangiomas in VisualDx.
