VisualDx Guides Medical Student’s First Time in Pediatric ER

Sohum P., a medical student at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, turned to VisualDx when he was first in emergency pediatrics as he encountered a light pink rash.

“22 month old presenting with light pink maculopapular rash on torso. No itching/scratching, no crying, no fever, no lethargy. This was my first time in the pediatric ED and knew the rash could be several things. I used VisualDx to create a differential of the major pediatric rashes and then obtained relevant information from the mom. After realizing that the patient had a high fever 3 days prior, I suspected Roseola infantum and used the images from VisualDx to confirm suspicion.”
