VisualDx Welcomes William Bria, MD as Chief Medical Information Officer

ROCHESTER, N.Y., [February 2, 2016] — VisualDx is proud to welcome William Bria, MD to our team. Dr. Bria will serve as our new chief medical information officer.

Bill is a renowned health IT expert as well as a critical care physician and pulmonologist, bringing more than 30 years of clinical and medical informatics experience to VisualDx. Bill is currently the Advisory Board Chairman of the Association of Medical Directors of Information Systems and previously served as CMIO at both Shriners Hospitals for Children and University of Michigan.

Bill imparts a deep understanding of healthcare informatics and policy and a common sense practical view of digital healthcare. As CMIO, Bill will help shape the company’s strategic vision and broaden its technology to include use by patients. He will also be instrumental as we launch the new VisualDx on March 1, an expansion of the product to include a broad differential diagnosis for any chief complaint across general medicine.

“VisualDx has made a tremendous investment in core knowledge databases, technology, and intuitive design to build a product doctors trust,” says Dr. Bria. “With the expansion to general medicine, VisualDx is truly transformative. I believe the VisualDx process and technology will become the digital foundation for improved decisions in healthcare.”
