What’s the Diagnosis? – March 13, 2017

The mother of a 3-year-old brought her daughter to the pediatrician when she developed a rash of smooth papules across her buttocks that spread outward to her arms and down her legs. It barely appeared on her trunk. She complained that it was itchy and had a fever and enlarged lymph nodes. Just a short time before the rash appeared, the mother reported that her daughter had recovered from Epstein-Barr virus.
