Synopsis

Interstitial granulomatous dermatitis (IGD) is a rare noninfectious granulomatous disease. It typically occurs secondary to an underlying disease. When associated with rheumatoid arthritis, the term interstitial granulomatous dermatitis with arthritis (IGDA) is used.

Other associations include rheumatologic diseases (eg, lupus erythematosus, systemic vasculitis, primary antiphospholipid syndrome, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, Still disease, autoimmune thyroiditis, autoimmune hepatitis), neoplastic processes (lymphoproliferative disorders, bronchial squamous cell carcinoma), pulmonary coccidioidomycosis, chronic uveitis, borreliosis, and pulmonary silicosis. Soy and herbal medication consumption have been linked to IGD as well.
