A form of glaucoma caused by ocular injury including blunt trauma, penetrating eye injury, and chemical burns. May occur as a complication of open-globe repair, such as in drainage tube implant surgery, or from hyphema, vitreous hemorrhage, or penetrating keratoplasty. These can lead to decreased aqueous outflow, elevated unilateral intraocular pressure, and subsequent optic neuropathy. Characterized by elevated intraocular pressure and visual loss following a traumatic globe injury, typically developing within 6 months, but may occur up to 2 years after traumatic event.

Management includes glaucoma medications and surgery.
