Prurigiform angiomatosis (PA) is a rarely reported condition that presents as one or more scaly, pruriginous, or lichenified plaques on the buttocks or within the intergluteal folds. It is seen more frequently in older men who have spent several hours a day in a sitting position.

PA is thought to result from chronic pressure or repeated mechanical friction, which leads to inflammation and a reactive angiogenesis patch or plaque driven by epidermal vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression.
