Synopsis
LS may be pruritic, but cases may also be asymptomatic and represent only a cosmetic concern. There are no reported cases of malignant transformation in extragenital LS.
Rarely reported ocular associations with LS include Brown syndrome and keratoconjunctivitis sicca syndrome. In Brown syndrome (also known as bilateral superior oblique tendon sheath syndrome), there is limited elevation of the eye when it is adducted. It has been reported in a female patient with widespread LS / morphea overlap where skin induration impacting eye muscle function was thought to be responsible.
