Woman has fever, rash following tropical vacation – Let’s Diagnose

A 32-year-old immunocompetent woman went to urgent care due to fever, cough, arthralgia, and photophobia. On examination, she had a temperature of 100°F (37.8°C) and conjunctival injection. There was a widespread erythematous rash on her trunk with smooth papules and macules. When asked of travel history, the patient mentioned that she recently visited her family in the Dominican Republic. During her travels, she drank local water and sustained a few mosquito bites. Her symptoms began approximately 4 days after her return home.
