Derm Resident Builds VisualDx DDx for Patient’s Rash Caused by New Pet

Robert R., a dermatology resident at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium (SAUSHEC), wrote about a time he saw a nursing student with a foot rash. Creating a differential in VisualDx guided his diagnostic process even with a variant symptom and led him to the correct diagnosis.

“30 year old nursing student presented with bullous eruption on right instep of foot that had been present for a few weeks. New exposure of a hedgehog. Used the differential creator and tinea pedis was a option. After reading the section it talked about how bullous variant can affect the instep of the foot.”
