“I recently had a case of Henoch-Schönlein purpura that manifested as widespread purpuric lesions. His rash manifested shortly after a URI. Reassuringly, his urinalysis and BMP did not show renal involvement but he had ongoing abdominal pain and an ultrasound revealed intussusception. His skin disease was not too bothersome so we did not have to use topical steroids and his case was managed successfully with supportive care.”
*Henoch-Schönlein purpura pictured here is not patient in this story.
