“27, M, presents to the clinic with left sided, temporal, 9/10, non-radiating head pain upon waking up in the morning. He noticed these symptoms 2 hours ago; he says that pacing around the room helps him keep his mind off the pain. He denies anything making the pain worse. He denies past trauma or exposure to sick contacts. He admits to red eyes, tearing, runny nose, and swelling. He has noticed that the chief complaint was constant and he has not observed this condition beforehand. I used VisualDx to find the different categories of headache and continued to use this in order to come up with a differential to help treat this man’s cluster headache. It was very helpful.”
