VisualDx Announces Additions to Executive Team to Meet Demand to Improve Health Outcomes

Global Leader in Web-Based Clinical Decision Support Names JT Finnell, MD, as Chief Medical Officer; Sri Juvvadi as Vice President of Product Management; and Bernie Mangano as Vice President of Sales and Business Development

BOSTON (ACEP Conference) – October 25, 2021 – VisualDx, a global leader in web-based clinical decision support (CDS), today announced that it has added three healthcare veterans to its executive team to support the company’s unprecedented growth. The three longtime C-suite health leaders will draw on their expertise to enhance and scale the company’s portfolio of educational resources and clinical decision support solutions to overcome knowledge gaps and, in turn, improve diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes—especially among underserved groups. JT Finnell, MD, joins as the company’s Chief Medical Officer; Sri Juvvadi as the Vice President of Product Management; and Bernie Mangano as the Vice President of Sales and Business Development.

VisualDx’s recent growth can be attributed in part to its development of a new pilot application programming interface (API). VisualDx is also experiencing rapid growth among health systems, primary care providers, and medical education by partnering with them on multiple initiatives. These initiatives include reducing unnecessary healthcare utilization, reducing risk, improving the quality of care of patients, and focusing on health equity by bridging knowledge gaps to reduce racial disparities, particularly in skin of color.

JT Finnell, MD

As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Finnell, a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience across a variety of healthcare organizations, is responsible for supervising content creation by identifying and addressing gaps in medical knowledge as well as leveraging his medical expertise to oversee editorial, medical library, and imaging department activities. He joins VisualDx from Eskenazi Health where he was the Chief Medical Information Officer for the Emergency Department. Dr. Finnell’s extensive resume includes serving as a senior research scientist at the Regenstrief Institute, Inc. as well as holding the title of Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine at the Indiana School of Medicine. Dr. Finnell is active with the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ACEP) as a member of the board of directors for the Indiana and national ACEP.

“I am grateful to be part of such an accomplished team that is truly addressing some of the most complex issues in the medical field,” said Dr. Finnell. “VisualDx is a unique entity in the healthcare space as it brings technology and workflows together to provide essential information to those on the front lines when and where they need it. I am excited to be bringing my medical knowledge to support the company as it continues to expand its robust medical library.”

Sri Juvvadi

Juvvadi, Vice President of Product Management, brings more than 15 years of product management experience to his role at VisualDx, where he is responsible for overseeing and scaling a robust portfolio and leading a talented team of product managers. Previously, Juvvadi was the co-founder and Vice President of Products and Marketing at iHealth Frontier, a cloud-based healthcare infrastructure and analytics firm. He was also in product management at Vocera Communications where he managed a smartphone app for clinical communication. Juvvadi also served as the Chief Product Officer at BonTriage, where he was responsible for a new mobile app for managing migraines in collaboration with medical and AI specialists at Stanford, UCLA, and USC.

Bernie Mangano

Mangano, Vice President of Sales and Business Development, brings senior leadership experience to VisualDx, where he will be responsible for the growth of both the US and international markets. Mangano brings to VisualDx his more than 20 years of healthcare technology experience and a passion for helping clients and partners drive clinical and financial results while improving quality of care. Prior to joining VisualDx, Mangano served as VP of Enterprise Sales at Collective Medical, a company focused on helping meet the challenges faced by healthcare providers by enabling them to achieve the business results that matter: enriching the lives of their patients, improving financial and operational health, and mitigating risk. The cornerstones of his professional philosophy are trust, integrity, and partnership.

“This is a critical inflection point in healthcare and at VisualDx, so we are glad to have added these exemplary leaders to our already robust team,” said Art Papier, MD, CEO of VisualDx. “The market is realizing the value of our unique AI solution of providing practical tools, methods, and resources, and we are confident that these three seasoned veterans with senior leadership expertise in the healthcare and tech fields will help us further the mission of bringing equity to healthcare via smart IT.”
